  1. Hello Magnus,
Just applied for a place on a ForBio course and saw your link in your out of office reply- Sounds like an awesome project! Will keep an eye on your page for the volunteering options. Would love to help out and learn a few carpentry skills. Hands off my motorcycle though : )
    Best of luck, Ruth

  2. Hey guys,
I stumbled across your blog and I am very interested in following your progress. My wife and I are looking at doing exactly the same thing in 2016, we are just getting funds together.

I hope you don’t mind me asking where you are both from, and why you choose Uruguay. We have been thinking about Uruguay a lot but don’t know that much about it. How did you find your land there etc. We will visit Brazil in February so will make a trip to Uruguay and visit some communities and off grid projects while we are there.

Wish you all the best and we look forward to hearing about your progress.

    Kindest of regards,

    Blu & Pace

    • Hi Blu & Pace,

Thanks for your interest! I’ll email you asap, so please let me know if you want me to use an address other than the one you used to post here.

      Cheers,
      Magnus and Vir

  3. Love your story.

Let me know if you are in MVD and we can prepare some asado!

On my next visit to puerto camacho I would definitely visit you.

    Good luck,

    Santiago

  4. Keep up the good work. Me and my family recently moved here from the U.S. We have a place outside of Minas and slowly building to self sustainability through permaculture.

  5. Hola! I can not open and read the contents of the updated blog, probably due to age handicap.

  6. Hello,

I saw floortje dessing serie about you guys in Venezuela. My question is there still land for sale and how much is 1 acre? and do you have internet in your house?

    • Hi Bart!

I don’t there’s any problems buying land here, but I can’t really help you with a cost estimate. Prices vary a lot depending on where it is and what kind of land it is. It might be difficult but as little as one acre in the countryside though.

      Good luck!

PS. We’re in Uruguay, not Venezuela. I guess you can buy some pretty cheap land in Venezuela though 😉

  7. test. i think i can not place a comment?
