How to build a house and become reasonably self-sustainable

The title says it all I guess? We will use this blog to document the process of building a house and become reasonably self-sustainable in a reasonably sustainable way near Carmelo in Uruguay. Hopefully there will be some beer brewing every now and then, a couple of weird side projects, and the occasional regular adventure to report about too.
